Some of the dishes they make are mostly taken out of a pack & heated up.
I dont class a chicken sandwich as a dish!
Chefs in the West will make their own mayonnaise should they require it - these Pak chefs open up a jar and just spoon the entire contents into some boiled chicken, spread it on bread out of a pack and call it healthy cooking!
Then you get some making burger & chips!!! Pizza is a specialty!
Pakistanis are going to get fatter & unheathier!
Apart from Chef Mehboob & ZAkir, the others are basically frauds
I could host my own cookery show if thats all you have to do!
Almost all the chef shows even in USA have some fake element built into it. 30 minute meal by Rachel Ray is really not a 30 minute meal, it is just edited down to a 30 min show. The secret ingredient in Iron Chef is know to the participant chefs ahead of time.
not all of them are frauds..... rida aftab and samina jaleel were housewives who are great at cooking and they started doing shows sharing their recipes.... you are talking abt spooning mayonnaise out of a jar ...giada, ina garten and heck even martha stewart use readymade products .... only difference is they might be using organic or higher end brands..... and for ppl living in small towns or villages of pakistan .... a chicken mayo sandwich might be a new thing....
there is no wrong with using ready made mayo as many chefs says that its not a piece of cake every one to make mayo at home as it has egg in it and it should me made acurate other wise its harmfull having samolina bacteria in egg and mind it a lot do make mayo in many different types......our paki recipies are very complicated and no piece of cake when talking about correct spieces in correct dish....in west what there a black pepper a dazle of salt wala thats it with some boiled and blanched vegetables.
Nobody wants to learn how to make mayo. Peoplaan just watch shows to either learn something they have eaten in a restaurant or something that is hard to make. Nothing wrong with using easy to find ingredients.
What's next for you OP, the chef to make a vegetable from scratch?
I find most of the shows very informative. However, the camera angles leave a lot to be desired. And also those annoying phone calls. People spend 90% of the time doing taareef of the chef;s outfit and recipes.
