I put password on archives (zip, rar) and forgot that. Any hints or utilities on how to break that password.

^ very true... its trying to brute force... if the password was more than 8 characters... then u may wanna try all your passwords...

how big is the file.. if nothing sensitive.. send it to me.. i will give it a go

RPC worked for me, maybe version support problem for you. There are many other ways to crack the file.
