ibProArcade reduce scores to keep arcade competitive.
And one major change is implemented now. This might hurt a few but will make many happy.
Reduce scores by 15% to keep arcade competitive!!
All the ranks are kept in tact though but the high scores are achievable again.
The reason being this:
If we reset high scores. That means people get scores that can't be beaten and others just give up trying.
If we prune high scores every so often. This means people who worked hard to get them just lose them without any record.
If we prune just the top x scorers. Means other people have a chance of getting on top, but not fair on those who worked for the highest spots to just have them removed without record.
Compromise: Keep the scores but reduce them, thus keeping them there and the rankings (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc) stay in tact.
The fourth option means: (reduce scores)
a) they can be more easily beaten by others, and
b) people have to keep going back to "top up" their own reduced high scores.
Both of which increase arcade activity.
I played "Ballon Park" and got the following message:
This score was not submitted from the game. Your score will not be saved.
yes i got the same message :) there are two games that no one plays
one ballon park and the other one is Backgammon
can't you guys replace them with new games ?
the people who are 1 2 3 are also working hard to beat the best scores SUGGESTONS either the best scores should be reduced too or dont reduce the scores at all
Got the following message after scoring 35000+ points in Breakout:
