Hope this clears up the notion of the "ummah" once and forall. All politics and confilcts are regional. It's good that Arafat recognizes that problems of the palestinians are vastly different from problems of Kashmir. Hope the rest of hte "jihadis" do.

By saying such things, Arafat makes people question his sincerity even more. He should have come out a lot stronger and condemned not only OBL and company, but all those who fuel the fire, including Saudis giving blood money to martyrs' families.
