Arafat and Falesteen..

Yassar Arafat is seriously ill, May Allah grant him health and ease his time for him. Ameen.
He has three appointed successors…
Whats gona happen to Falesteen and the Falesteeni People?

:frowning:

and how is this a Religious issue?

if it's his time.. he'll have to go.. and where the Palestinians are these days things can only get better for them..

It's not as if Arafat was of any major help. This is a good opportunity for another Palestinian leader to step up.

PA, if it was some other country it wouldnt be a religous issue, but Falesteen is the third holy place for muslims, and its a holy place for christians and jews alike...
if anything, it is a religous + political issue...

skhan, he may not be a major help,, but he has a strong following, and the uprise after him(God forbid) would be scary...

^
anything to do with arafat is purely political and has nothing to do with religion....

Falesteeni leadership involves the whole muslim world not only Falesteen...
Its jews against muslims..
christians against jews..

its not long when muslims and christians unite against the jews..

Palestinian leadership never claims it to be a muslim-jew issue. They always make it an Arab issue, cz they don't want to alienate the significant christian population amongst themselves.

And you said Arafat has appointed three successors? Who are they? Most news reports claim he has appointed no one as his successor. The three people who come up in these discussions will likely be the Speaker of the House, the current Prime Minister and the former Prime Minister. It is safe to assume that there will be an intense power struggle within Palestinian leadership.

^ yeah :( lets hope all of them unite and there would be no conflict..
inshallah khair..
I didnt get the names of the successors, i'll confirm soon, inshallah..

Majority of Israelis want Arafat to die: Opinion poll

A majority of Israelis would like Yasser Arafat to die, an opinion poll showed on Friday as the Palestinian leader was flown to Paris for treatment on a potentially fatal blood disorder.

Forty-seven per cent of those surveyed in the poll for the private Channel Two television network agreed that they wanted him dead, while only 32 per cent disagreed. The rest expressed no opinion.

But the poll, conducted by the Maagar institute, also showed that most of the 32 per cent also wanted to see Arafat continue to suffer.

This is not worrying at all. I am sure a much higher percentage of Palestinians would want Sharon dead as well. Thats the nature of the conflict.

it is a geopolitical issue.. it's a dispute of land and the parties are ARABS and Israelis.. please remember Christian Arabs are as much a part of this dispute.. don't make it a 'Muslim' vs Kuffar issue..

The leader of the "Muslim" struggle flown to a kaafir country for treatment may not fit too well with our jihaadee bretheren.. they should take him to Ummah Memorial Hospital instead..

Maybe they'll have a better chance at a more uh lets say 'useful' leader.

Exactly. I am pretty sure the feeling is mutual on both sides.

drust. :k:

I am very happy to know that Palestine struggle is an ethnic issue and religion has nothing to do here. Friends, keep it up!
