More GI's died in VietNam by friendly fire than being killed by the Vietnamese.
Those people out there doing battle try to keep their heads, but as I empathize with them...
I don't know what its like to walk around as a GI and know that someone wants to kill me. I'm pretty sure I'd be jumpy. Not because I want to shoot anyone, or God forbid kill a civilian, but because I would be scared of someone shooting me, and I wouldn't be ready to die.
I think that is only human.
