My friend if you are extremely sensitive about your Prophet (PBUH), there are other people who are sensitive to certain issues. Why dont muslims apply the same yardstick and try not to tread on other people's sensitive issues. You dont want anybody to insult your prophet pbuh, but you go the extra mile to hurt other peoples' sentiments. If that is not hypocracy, I dont know what is
Also there is the question of the law of the native land. It needs to be followed to be a citizen of the country. Violating the law has its own consequences.
Transgression from certain people or groups is inevitable , it is preposterous to make a judgment of a community based on the actions of a selected few, However, the response of the established social order towards such transgressions is certainly the most veracious measure to establish the aspirations of that community. In both the instances certain people have acted to hurt the feelings of a community, One cartoon questions the integrity of a claim held by 13 million people , the other humiliates the aspirations of 1.6 billion people, the difference lies in how the state chose deal with it,- that difference my friend is the bottom line
