Arabic Courses in the U.K

I was wondering if anyone can help me, a friend of mine wants to learn the arabic language.
Can anyone recommend me any good places that do arabic courses for beginners?

Also, how long does it take to know the arabic language atleast at an intermediate level?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Arabic Courses in the U.K

my brother went here for classical arabic (he did level 1 then went to Syria for level 2) but they also now do a foundation course and applied arabic.

it’s very intensive though and you have to do A LOT of independent work.

Where about are you based?

In most major cities there are quite a few Islamic instituions which teach Arabic:

In Birmingham for example there are institutes such as Faizan E Rasool who have classes for male and females. Students have gone to places such as Yemen, Syria & Egypt to study further.
