Peace Enchanting Rose
Unless people start to do their work then the classes have already ended. I’m ready for the third class but it seems the students are yet to catch up with notes from lessons 1 and 2.
I am not going to waste my time preparing notes for students who are going to go through the notes with a passing glance. Anything less than full engagement is not worth their time or mine. Signing up is easy. Anyone can do that. What is the point because after lesson 5 people will start to get confused and we will end up pointing them to previous lesson notes. I need to ensure people are onboard … to have just come across fact now is even more of a sign that this course might not be for you. You need to be available to at least come across this board three times a week to get the information and provide your answers and questions in good time.
I’m waiting for further guidance from brother @lethal_kamikaze and brother @teggy as there may be a solution for continuing this on voice/video chat - as there are complicated explanations that require this level of interaction.
If people thought this was going to be like any other thread or like a youtube course then they would already be learning from those resources. Fact is so much material is already on the net but people still do not learn - because the process is purely passive … In order to make this effort work - people need to be less passive and more engaged in the live or nearly-live discussion.
Re: Arabic Course Discussion Thread [For Students]
Thank you for the response!
I would hate to see anyone’s effort gone to waste. I am studying Arabic from the Madinah series books, by Dr. V. Abdur Rahim, and found myself stuck on lesson 5. It is different approach to your method thus far, however I completely understand and agree that learning Arabic cannot be done by a mere glance of notes.
For the students taking the class:
For teachers:
^ just some suggestions. Feel free to take or leave.
I feel sheepish to ask…although I’m studying from a different book, may I bother you for help when needed?
Re: Arabic Course Discussion Thread [For Students]
