Well rigidity of KSA laws are well known, but post revolutionary Iranian government has always been very obstinate as well, Even though Iran’s relation with India improved greatly:)
pre-revloutionary Iran sided with Pakistan during Indo-pak war of 1971 along with Jordan and Syria, if I am right:). How the revolution in Iran has changed relationship between Iran and Pakistan??

Though “pakistani brothers” were deployed in syria as muslim courtesy in 73, I don’t think the syrians ever militarily helped Pakistan. Saudis are rumored to have sent some F-5s in 1971, but Jordan officially sent some F-104s to be piloted by Pakistani pilots though half of them were destroyed in the war. I think the bigger problem was that US had put military sanctions on Pakistan in both wars (some ally… !) and F-104s couldn’t really replace much since they were made to be recon planes. I don’t think iran supplied any actual military hardware but helped with providing jet fuel.
