I have lived in various cities of USA .Any Masjid or desi meet I attend I will find lots of desi bashing Arabs. Even in Pakistan where I was born and raised I saw Arab bashing going on day and night.
When we smear the whole arab race don’t we forget that our Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammed 
belonged to this race ?
Will there be any religious consequeses of doing so ? I do not know just pondering. May be if we have anything against certain Arab or group of Arabs from certain city or country other than KSA we should mention the name of the city or the country. What do you say ?

I agree alot of arab bashing exists in desi communities, and in Pakistan, perhaps its the bad treatment of pakistanis/indians in the middles east that has led to this. As in most south asians are doing the poorly payed jobs that arabs refuse to do and thus as south asians are generally looked down upon

all races are racist (generally speaking) it's only because we are among desi's (ie a desi forum) that we see/hear a lot of arab bashing. If we were among arabs we would be talking about how there is too much desi bashing going on.
It goes both ways unfortunately.

This way are we not commiting backbiting against our own Prophet . He belonged to this race . Just trying to understand and avoid a sin if it is a sin.

By bashing Arabs you are not backbiting against the prophet; you are backbiting against the Arabs themselves. These are two different things: I am not implying that backbiting in either scenario would be good in any sense of the word.
All in all, the prophet has nothing to do with this…
Also: If you have documented evidence of a general cultural trend, and you are trying to expose this or make it known so that corrective measures be taken, then that is not backbiting BTW.

Like AE said, it's a universal disease, and all races are inflicted with it.
i.e.,
Some Blacks think whites are devils; Some whites think Black are lazy.
Everyone's perfect in his/her own way. We just differ in some things.

My first real exposure to arabs was at my university’s MSA. They were really nice and gentle people and very easy going. And for that reason i couldn’t understand the Arab bashers. Until i moved back home to toronto and ran into the real bad apples 
And so far i’ve yet to run into one thats not a bad apple :halo:

I understand backbiting is sin . Arab bashing will be considered backbiting or not , that way we are backbiting against our holy prophet . No ?

Lets make it real simple and put it like it is:
Backbiting: When you say something about someone in his/her absence, that degrades him/her. All disagreements should be dealt with when the person's present.
To praise someone in his/her absence elevates his/her respect and is good.
There is not an issue of you may backbite this group, but not the other, or this religion/ethnicity and not another. Backbiting is a sin, no matter who it is committed against because by indulging in doing so, you are inflicting harm on your own soul.
Period.

The Prophet wouldn't be neglecting the rest of the Islamic world, the Arabs do today, nor would he be forcing people to follow archaic rules when doing pilgrimmages, nor would he be making desi muslims wipe the crap off the soles of his feet he way Arabs do today.
Some people go far to bash every Arab, which would be racism or bias at best. However, criticizing the way they carry out Islam and the way they teach it and practice it and therefore influence the rest of the world to practice it is a very valid concern. (ex. rules like women not being allowed to drive and making women go so far as to cover their hands, feet and eyes as well as their face, marrying more than 4 wives, marrying asian women for sport, not allowing desi muslims to advance in their societies, dubai's policy of treating hindu Indians better than Pakistani muslims, etc).

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white- except by piety and good action.

But my point being should we not be specific to the Arabs of the town or city if we say some bad behavior in general ? Instead of smearing the whole Arab race.
Based on this sermon should we not be avoiding stereo typing altogether ? I confess I had that stupid habit in me. Trying to overcome it now.

the shameful part is that u hear all this arab-bashing from a nation who itself is in a much poorer condition as far as Islam is concerned....
continue ur arab-bashing but do think "how r we desis better than them" next time u wish to do so....

There is nothing wrong about stereotyping if you stereotype based on good traits of someone for example Arab's are very hospitable. Arabs are very keen about praying namaz at its time etc.
It is negative stereotyping I am talking about. Stereotyping , like Arabs hate Desi working in Arab countries. If Arabs hate Desi so much then why millions of Desi are still working in Arab countries as Doctors , Engineers, Managers, Sweepers , Clerks etc. Why they have not been expelled or deported as yet ?
