Nowadays on Facebok and through sms, I see a flux of text and images, with a quote that has been associated with Hazrat Ali. I am sure that some of them are really his aqwaal, but I am sure that most of them are fabricated. Some of them are not even wise words, they just sort of carry that profound sense.
This used to be with Shiekh Saadi in 80’s and 90’s and know with Hazrat Ali.
it's everywhere from aqwaal e zarriN to aqwaal e sho'araa...Ghalib, Iqbaal ke naam se shaa'irii post ho rahii haiN...you can tell that it's fake by the content. it's very easy...i usually don't even look at them...if i need something i'll go to the source directly.

Do you see it as a concern or am i the only one?
Erm............. TLK............... well, yes, I have found a few quotes like that too which literally makes me feel, whether it truly belongs to Hazrat Ali. R.A or not??
Not only that, I have also been seeing the pictures of some graves or belongings to Ashaaba-e-karam R.A and are said to be associated with them.... even some of them makes me feel, whether it is true or not!! Solution?? Don't know what we can do but for that, Allah has given common sense to humans and we are known to be Ashraf-ul-makhlookaat.... which means we should believe what seems to be believing and not everything that makes no sense!!
Thanks for bringing this up, I am experiencing the same issue , occasionally I have tried reasoning with the posters in my social circle , but it looks like people are adamant on these kauls being real !
But I too get extremely concerned because its more or less fakeness that is taking over the real stuff .. not too long ago, I would see ahadith being quoted irresponsibly or just being made up .. i was guilty of not giving the source either , until Muzna corrected me one day and I realized she is right , now when ever I post a hadith or verse or kaul from anyone, I try to ensure the source is mentioned .. otherwise its just not right ..
I do want to know though, the same kaul can be shared without a name, why associate it all with Hazrat Ali or sheikh saadi ?
I don't know the veracity of the above quotes. But I think the first one is a good advice, wherever it came from.
It was this open-mindedness to gather knowledge from everywhere which made Muslims develop during Abbasid times, and it was the close-mindedness of later Muslims which made them a backward under-developed people.

The problem you cited is very common in our culture. It is not just Hazrat Ali, I have read stories associated with Hazrat Musa.
Ok, well this one has said to be belong to Hazrat Imam Hussain R.A..
There is a possibility that something similar might have said by HIM R.A, but let alone this stanza sort of Quote, I doubt… again may Allah forgive me if it was truly delivered by Him R.Z the same way it is written and if I am wrong.
