Do you really think they will listen? Who should one talk to in that case? I have heard many people trying to talk to the 'upper' part of jamaat but they pay no heed as thats how the jamaat was created i.e. now everything is carved on stone. Again, are you talking about 'local' tablighee jamaat or 'central' (upper)? In Dallas atleast, we have a dawah program which has several wings (target audience in malls, radio, billboards, prison etc) with different methods but there is no participation from 'tablighi jamaat' and to my knowledge they are not even willing to 'adapt' a similar method (probably because its not endorsed from 'central' jamat).
Do you drive a car? I am sure you do since you live in Dallas. each car has 4 Tires, right? if you remove the back 2 Tires do you think you can drive the car with only 2 tires? Dawah is given to Non-Muslims and Tablighi is given to our Muslim brothers.
Dawah and Tablighi go hand-in-Hand, if Dawah is the 2 front tires than Tablighi is back 2 tires.
Let me explain, If you are in Army fighting the enamy...Army is divided in to differenct groups, each group is given a specific task. Some fight, some do support and some do logistic works (supplying weapons), communications, cooking, etc. You can't fight 5 or 10 days straighst....
and everyone can take a Namaz break at the same time. One group fight and other goup perform wadu and pray and than they switch.
Just like that there different medical doctors, each specialize in different medical field. Tablighi is the same way, there has to be one group who reminding the ummah about their duties toward their creators.
Dawah work is great but to keep muslims on the straight path we need to be reminded and that the reason Tablighi work is spreading all over the world..even in Arabs countries like Jordon and Syria.
