It will be painful if it’s an impacted tooth. Means another tooth is blocking it’s way out. More often than not, an impacted tooth will require removal. Mine came in halfway, even though it wasn’t painful, there was that sort of feeling that you want to itch under the gum but can’t quite scratch it.

They’re not so bad. Might feel sore, but nothing unbearable.

I’ve seen people who had to have it removed surgically.
