Funny name but I recently got this app. What it does is that it brings all the tech news sources into this one app. So you personalize your news channels based on your topics of interest and browse using their TagNav explorer. You can also set custom alerts, share articles on Twitter and FB.
I haven’t really set my personal preferences yet but this was one of the Editor’s picks at the Google Play Store which I visit frequently so I thought I’d give it a shot. I do have the FlipBoard app that I love which comes with the S3 and a few other such apps, but I thought I’d check this out.
^^ Oh cool. I just set up some custom new options. Been getting notifications. Just got: Breaking News: Microsoft Releases Tweaks, Performance Update For Surface!
I’m techier than a few but please don’t embarass me…embrace me . Which reminds of something that happened with me a few weeks ago at LA Fitness:
So a few weeks ago, I was very eager to use the keyring app where you scan all the tiny cards that hang around your keyring and use those at stores instead of carrying a hefty keychain. So I walk into LA Fitness, pull out my S3, open the app, try to scan my LA F card. Try all positions, etc etc, the darn thing doesn’t scan. SO there’s this Punjabi Indian dude standing behind me watching. He comes close to me and says, “how embraaasing for you.” So Ms. Nikki turns to him and says “Twadey liye embraaasing hona, saddey liye toh nai.” And he is totally shocked and walks away in a hurry :D!
^^ It works fine in Rite Aid and a couple other stores. Tried at LA Fitness today again. I had gone after a few weeks but when I pulled my phone out, the people at the desk said, "oh it's the tech lady!" LOL. No, it didn't work.
Its a good application. I downloaded because of the same reason you did (editor's pick) and I instantly liked it. Very customizable and informative. But of course Flipboard is one app I love more.
