Appropriate age for Mobiles?

ma sis had her first cellphone at the age of 8… now wht can i say abt ma kids :S

a kid shouldnt be allowed to have a fone let alone the age .. i mean millions of years before .. kids did okay .. got on with life without a fone ..so what need is there for a kid to have a fone.

in Pakistan kids are not allowed to use cell phones in school so it would very much depend on my daughter’s school if they allow it and when they allow it.

otherwise would like my daughter to keep cell phone as young as 7-8 years as it can get me in contact with her instantly

Even here in most schools kids arent allowed to use cell phones.
