I received an Employment Appointment Letter from a company named as COASTER OFFSHORE OIL & GAS LTD.
Package Includes:.
Monthly Salary is 3000 Uk Sterling /Month (after deduction of Tax)
with 200 Sterlings Per week Pocket Money.
There are many other benifits like Education for Children and 3 bed Room flate etc.
**Job Location :. **
UK - LONDON
They are asking me to proceed for getting UK Residence Visa etc on my own cost (For this they have given me an Email address too).
It seems very odd to me in sense that , I had only filled one electronic form where i had given my email , name and category of studies.
I am posting this thread on GS for members to shed light on the subject.
This letter was too strange for me , as it bears no date on it , I undergone for no interview, but still they are hiring me?
So it is like spam Email , most of people are receiving that your Email Id was attached to abc... etc lottery and you have won 100000 Pounds/Dollars , we just need your address , phone etc so to cridit you the prize.
Re: Appointment Offer from a Company in UK.... Please Advise ?
I never heard of "COASTER OFFSHORE OIL & GAS LTD UK", and I am related to oil & gas industry in UK. The company also does not appear in business directories. Ask them for their company registration number (Ideally it should be in "Appointment letter")
The offer itself is too good to be true, what email address they gave you to contact in regrads to your visa processing?
Also did they ask you about your BOSIET certification?
Re: Appointment Offer from a Company in UK… Please Advise ?
just another variant of the Advance Fee Fraud… where the scammer is after your money and/or personal information (ultimately resulting in identity theft related fraud).
Here’s a partial list of companies whose names have been used in these types of job scam emails.
Re: Appointment Offer from a Company in UK.... Please Advise ?
I started reading and stopped after reading company address and postcode. The area where their "global headquarter" is situated is a residential area. Most of companies working in oil & gas mainly are based in Scotland. There are not many in LOndon, except some giant groups.
Also the language used in this offer letter gives it away that this letter is not written by an English person. Most probably by some Nigerian, who will ask you later to send them "home office visa processing fee" which will be "reimbursed" to you once you will start your employment.
PS: I suggest you read Home office’s guidlines about getting an employment in UK first. It will really help you identifying a real offer or a fraudster.

^ Detective work doesn’t pay much (I will only get DUAS by enghashmi for this case ). it has to be above 150p/min to cover my kitchen expenses. :hinna:
Re: Appointment Offer from a Company in UK.... Please Advise ?
well its not as easy to get job in UK now as it was before. UK goverment has gone prety strict about employment policies. Its a recession time and what you are saying is too good to be true. It must be a scam or something. Do you have their contact number? If you do then give them a call!
Re: Appointment Offer from a Company in UK… Please Advise ?
Maroush , you clever one
Waise Engrshami, no job gets offered without interviews ! but still if an offer letter lands on your address its clear indication that the offer letter is a scam or its a post wrongly landed on your doorstep … so why even bother with it…
Being Sorry for Late reply , I am thankfull to all the members

By the way , the letter was odd for me , as i have pointed out in start , that it bears no date and they are asking me to complete visa process with in 8 days.
Alhamdu Lillah I have already gotton Promotion in my present company.
My DUAS are for all of you, and I am SURE more Cheques would have been DEPOSITED for you people with Al Mighty Allah.

alot of hoax going on in the world ... basically they know people will deposit their personal details in the visa application and thats exactly what they need to rip you off your money ...
May Allah protect us all against such fraudsters ...
