The problem with religion is its male domination. When will we see the first female Hazar Imam is when the Roman Catholic Church recognizes female priests. How is it that these two religions give power to the male and nothing to the female. Men will argue they do, and stupid women will believe it so. Educated and enlightened women know this is not the case, it is very patriarchal. Religion beget when women were thought of as property and weak. When the male child got all the benefits and the female nothing but a bargaining tool for marriage prospects.
Religion in today's society where women are becomng increasingly independent and not dependent upon men for survival and livelyhood needs major evolution . The recognition that women were born with brains and that they can lead people spiritually also and be fully capable of spreading the word of ALlah/God. Before civil law men controlled society by religious law ----well things are slowly changing for women to advance .
I am the modern muslim woman and ALlah has blessed me with the ability to realize I am only a subject to him and not to a mortal man. TO the mortal man I am a partner if he can not handle this well then it's his ego and insecurities not mine and he can no longer hide behind the excuse it's the will of Allah. My father taught me this and my father has lived in Aghanistan where he has seen the crap women have had to endure and no daughter of his was to be kept ignorant and downtrodden by any man.
