Did anyone do and know anyone did that their makeup themselves on their wedding..because my sister is getting married and wants to do makeup herself. Also how do you do duppata setting..please anyone have and ideas or pictures on duppata settings
no she is not makeup artist but on the engagement she had her makeup donw professionally and did not like it. She does her own makeup well and she knows what suits her skin etc. You have to admit that not all makeup artists do a good job with the makeup
If she's confident enuff then she should do it herself, she should learn how to do contouring and practice with her wedding/valima day colors till she's satisfied with her overall look. The duppata has to be "set" by someone else, she won't be able to pin it herself.

yeah if shes confident that she does a good job then she should do it herself, but does she has all the relevant products??? i can give her tips on doing contouring etc so that she makes her features look nicer.
ami - she needs to make sure she has aaaaalll the products she will need and practice practice practice!
for my cousin we have had to put both our makeup together to have everything she will need (i have a lot more eyeshadows than she would ever have for herself - yay for MAC pan palettes). plus we had to get some extra stuff that neither of us would normally bother to use - primer, heavier concealer, different kinds of false lashes.
and it's absolutely a good idea to keep a digital camera handy and keep taking pictures, flash/nonflash/well lit room/dark lit room. it will give you an idea of how the makeup is looking in different lighting conditions and what she needs to work on.
