Applying to Univs at this stage...

Hi,

I have this friend of mine who will be moving to London from Sweden with her family. She wishes to apply to a local university here and would like to commence her studies straight away, probably by Jan-Feb 2003, so that she doesn’t has to wait for september 2003.

Now, the query is that, I’ve heard that univ take in students twice a year, once in Sept and then again in Jan/Feb. Is that true?
So those who started in Sept 2002 begin with semester A.
Those who start in Jan/Feb 2003 begin with semester B in effect.

Aladin, can't help you out on how it works in the UK. Can only help you out if the case concerns the US, which it doesn't.

Mona if that's the case then I'll definetey recommend my friend to transfer her studies to USA... at least she'll find a great help u like there ;)

aladin possibly westminster uni might start degrees in February. I know they definately start Masters degrees then so could be they do Bachelors too. Might want to check their site out.

yeah... I have also heard the similar thing... but they only commence some selected degrees in Feb not all... and I'm not sure that the degree my friend wishes to pursue is one of them or not...
