Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

Although this may seem a topic more appropriate for travel & tourism, I need more real life experiences of people regarding the topic which is why it is in this forum.

How many of you have applied for Schengen visa from Pakistan? How long did it take to receive the passport back? I need to apply for UK & for Schengen countries and need my passport back in 2 months to be able to attend the event i am going for? Any suggestions? Experiences?

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

Dont know about UK but all details are given on how to apply for Schengen Visa from Pakistan

On the right side select ur category of visa and fill the form

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

Thank you waleed. But it doesnt state any where how long the processing will take? Do i have to re-send the passport for UK separately or both UK-Schengen will be catered in one processing duration?

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

You are Welcome .....Check the last point it states that submit ur application one month before departure ....

As far as i know Uk is not in schengen countries so u have to submit for UK and Schengen Seperately but im not sure ....

Do u got UK visa right now on ur passport??if u got it then just apply for Schengen visa

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

yeh schengen hai kahan?

i applied from pakistan to uk about 4/5 yrs back. i got my visa in about 2-3 months. as i said this was 4/5 yrs back, now i dont know how long the visa takes plus i heard they shifted everything to dubai. i mean all decisions take place in dubai (if i am right).

the best thing would be to apply as soon as possible. and if in your application your event dates arenot mentioned than perhaps a covering letter will be good to explain as to why you need the visa so urgently. usually they give you the visa within the time span like before the course starts etc etc as long as you meet all teh requirements.

good luck

Aish ke ilawa bhe kuch pta kr liya kro  Kidding

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

if schengen is a diffenrent counrty then you will have apply seperatly. you cant apply altogether because both of your applications will require passports. on the other hand i just googled up and saw that Schengen is near france so i am assuming its a european country so perhaps once you are in uk you can apply from here to Schengen.

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

No UK is not included in Schengen.

What I am saying is that i have to visit UK in the last week of April for a family event (the family will be sponsoring us) but we also plan on visiting other nearby European countries for which we require a Schengen visa.

Although the website states 1 month but from most people i have heard the time is not fixed, may even take 2-3 months. I dont want to miss out the function in UK waiting for the Schengen visa.

So i should apply for UK + Schngen visa right away then.

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

acha thank you

Re: Applying for Schengen from Pakistan?

I'd suggest you apply for the UK visa first, because with the visa processing times here you can never be sure, it shouldn't be more than one month but it can easily end up being 2 or 3 months. My friend's sister applied for a UK settlement visa recently after getting married and although that usually takes a while her visa came back in less than three weeks, there is no consistency here at all. I have no idea about Schengen here but I know in the UK it can take a month to get it (two weeks to get an appointment) so I would think it would take at least the same amount of time here.
