applied for a job

Yaar i am caught in a situation, i currently have a decent gig here in toronto, however i used to work for a company by the name of TECHDATA before and today my X-BOSS called me and advise that they were hiring for some position in their head office in CLEARWATER, FLORIDA. Lekin jo baat mujhay samajh nahi aa rahee hai key is it a good area to live in. As i have been looking for better paying jobs for a while now and this is my second option after FORT MCMURRY in ALBERTA. Khair i am kinda confused if it is a feasable decision as i dunno if i would like it there cuz i am a torontonian at heart. What do ppl from AMREEKA think is it a good idea?

And yeah i am already thinking of buying an investment property in FLORIDA, so do you think its a worthwile move.

Re: applied for a job

chalay jayo yaar.larkiyon k jaisay ziada mat socho. with good experience u can always come back. life doesn't giv u chance everyday.

Re: applied for a job

Clearwater is actually a pretty sweet place to live. There are a bunch of Indian families there. Not sure about Muslim. But you are driving durance to Orlando and Tampa which have huge Pakistani populations - nice families too. Not the chichora crap you get in Miami. The Orlando crowd has concerts and fashion shows and dinners. (south Asian generally speaking)

Clearwater has a beach too.

Re: applied for a job

Yes America is really cool. I have been to Orlando and Panama City in FL and loved both. Besides, surely Florida must have better weather than Alberta!

Re: applied for a job

okay then, clearwater is a good choice and if i look for a place in Orlando thats not too far from it , is it?

Re: applied for a job

yayyyyyy, i had my phone interview with TECHDATA US just now about 2 minutes ago and they will advise me as to when to go for an interview, i am hoping early JAN :D

Re: applied for a job

Kaun go to FLORIDA! I am telling you this is what you should do! FL FL FL all the way!

Re: applied for a job

yay…good luck

and why do you say that? not that i am doubting you but is it really worth it ?

thanks

Yes trust me, you should be in Florida.

It’s such a nice state. Beaches, gals, hanging out, sunshine.. good difference from Toronto. Plus something else:chai:

what is that something else :konfused: ???

Your have been to toronto as well , wow ??

Re: applied for a job

hmmm......I'd only be worried about hurricane season and how it would impact my life.
maybe I am overly cautious.

otherwise jo karna hai Allah ka naam lay kar karo and insha-Allah He will protect you.

mein bhi yehee soch raha hoon, cuz i have been thinking of moving out of toronto for the longest time bas himmat nahi kar paa raha tha, aur ab jab mauqa aaya hai to i dont wanna miss it but on the same token i got apprehensions and confusions as well.

Re: applied for a job

Like others have said......you don't get opportunities like this often.
I would say make the best of it. Move. Ask Allah to guide you and protect you.
You are able to take such risks earlier in life rather than later.

If the only risk is the weather......build it into your plan.......commit to yourself that you will move back if things get rough and you are not comfortable.

"You don't find new horizons without being willing to lose sight of land for a while."

well interview date set ho jaaye, i will for sure make a run for it, lets see what happens, and i will for sure keep that quote in mind forever :D

Thanks Muzna Baji
