Anybody has experience with any of the above mentioned.
One thing that I dont want is service based gadgets. If I am spending 200-300 dollars on something, it better be a stand alone product (like SLing TV, another thread for that).
Is it worth spending money on Tivo or Apple TV
BTW, I do have a dedicated computer hooked up to my Home Theatre system that I use to record my fav. tv shows, through WINTV USB TV Tuner.
WHat do you use for Hard drive based TV shows recording?

I used apple TV in search of a solution to hookup my laptop to my plasma TV wirelessly. It worked great to anything in iTune. But I was looking something which will display even the computer programs I am running on my laptop to my tv therefore I ended up returning it. I am still trying and returning various solutions none seem to have the video quality as AppleTV.
I never tried Tivo as I am not into watching TV programming .
