Iv never used Apple in my life…but im gettin a laptop and that Powerbook looks pretty decent…
Can someone please tell me the pros and cons of getting an Apple Laptop?..

Apples are very cool, I used to develop for them some time ago and loved them. The shortage of software for Apple is big draw back. But then, you must look into what your needs are. Do you play games or just author some documents or are you a techy or an artist. Tell us what your plans are so that we can give better advice.
Windows on the other hand, has come a long way and it is fairly comparable to Apple OS-X. . If you are looking for long term use, then please keep in mind that the new Windows Vista is going to be released soon and it will blow away the apple OS-X completely out of water. Better yet go for x64 laptops. I have just order a Acer Ferrari 4001 laptop with x64 processor, once I install Vista 64 bit when it is released, its going to be magic

Boston, vista will not "blow away the apple OS-X" it will be an ok competition but not a huge competition.. IMO

Well im not looking at anything too special...just something i can play games on...listen to my music on...and do my work on...

If you are looking for games then, there are lot more games on windows than mac. if you can afford about $1500, then you can buy a real good 64 bit laptop that will give you aswesome gaming experience. Other a pentium or AMD x86 with 2 gig of RAM will be very good alternative.
For music and general stuff, both systems are very good.

Boston, i won’t bet on anything.. but i can tell you from my experience that Vista won’t beat OS-X .. have you even tried out their Beta version? do you knw about WinFX, Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation,Windows Vista User Experience ?? these are all new things that are new ideas which won’t be that easy to get right the first time. MS has changed a lot in Vista but not enough..
I am not saying that OS X is amazing or the best .. infact Windows has alot to offer but the fact that they both run on different hardware makes them two different things.. IMO…

You can if you are able to find them for Mac! There are not many.
Apple was never a threat to Windows and it does not seem it will be in the near future.

Bindows (Windows for normal people) For obvious reasons, huge software library and plenty support....
Both systems have their pros and cons.
