Apple IMac G4 ------- Help needed.

I am planning to buy an IMac G4 17’’ . Could anyone please tell me if there is any difference between a normal “Mac OS X CD” and a "Mac OS X software install CD.

If they are different then does the software install cd only comes with a new IMac or you can buy it seperately?

I’ve never used IMac before and the reason I want to know this is that I’ll have to reset password on this system (the old one is forgotten and the seller dont have cd). Thanks for help in advance.

hainnnn…they still sell iBooks :bummer:

kher no CD was there in my case…all softwares (the one the gave) were already installed in the machine :bummer:

Normally you would get a system restore set of DVD's with the Mac. which would include additional applications bundled with the computer. If you buy the OS media (cd/dvd) its not going to contain those additional apps. Other than that there shouldn't be any difference.
