Hawww…hayeeee…how could they drop youtube!!! Just coz they are having a war with Google :pcg:
I guess Apple is having a war with quite a few companies these days…
I guess it is not a big deal…am sure the apps can still be downloaded…
“Apple’s new version of its iPhone and iPad software will not include a pre-loaded app for Google’s video website, YouTube, Apple said on Monday. YouTube is one of the most popular destinations on the Internet, with more than 800 million unique monthly visitors who stream 4 billion videos a day. The move was the latest sign of the growing rivalry between the technology companies the once were closely aligned but now are vying for supremacy in the fast-growing mobile computing market.”
So they also said that they would dump Google’s mapping software for its mobile devices…so what are they planning to do for that?
Another reason to not have an iphone. Just imagine having T Mobile, trying to go via Safari on a 2G Network to listen to a YouTube video. Better I sing the song myself.
Yeah, waisey, what’s with Apple? I’m perplexed and and disturbed.
^^ That. The google map software is being replaced by Apple's own developed Map app which is now part of iOS 6 and have turn by turn directions. They have mentioned that there is a new youtube app in the making which will be released into the app store. I m part of the iOS 6 beta and it seems like going to youtube through safari isnt that bad.
Again not apple’s fault that your using their phone on unauthorized carrier, which doesn’t have same network frequency, plus apple had contract with google and it expired couple months back. so that’s why google maps has been replaced by apple’s own and youtube is native is being removed in ios 6, but there will be an app you can download thru app store.
i think niksik’s opinons now should be taken with grain of salt, because she becomes too attached one thing and starts hating the other one.
Arrey, why you getting so personal? I’m not saying it’s Apple’s fault. I love Apple products. I just have an issue with the iPhone and yes I love my T-Mobile plan and iPhone doesn’t work too well with it so it is a genuine concern for me. Itna tension nahi leyna ka usman saab. Enjoy posting and chill. And oh, no one has to take my opinion for god’s sake. Who knows I may be an alien in disguise :D!
not getting personal, it just irritates when people complain iphone only works on edge for t-mobile. c’mon people didn’t you know that before you bought the phone.

No actually I didn't think it would be so bad. And frankly, I was excited about using an iPhone from all the testimonials I received from various sources so I went ahead and got one. Actually, I've used all the models. And I did use them for a couple of years but was eventually disappointed by it's limitations, not just the network part. Now that I have another system, I'm in a good position to compare my experience. That's all.
yeah make it harder for your consumers to consume media Apple....nice.
at the end it's all about that dollar, did u knew that apple pays google for maps and youtube being native app. so why pay them when google will release free youtube app and have an maps.

From what I read Apple is thinking of bringing out its competitor to YouTube..
And yes I know they pay and I also know users can just download from iTunes but if users can download it why not include it. Google will still make money from ad’s.

Why not include all apps then? the point is if it's a native app. apple has to pay google a fee. if users can download it from app store why pay someone for it. not point isn't that google can make money or not. the point apple doesn't have to a pay fee for it. its simple method
Its actually a good thing for the consumer. Once you have a separate app you can download there will be updates frequently and you don’t have to look at the old transistor radio icon with the 2 knobs. Such techno-graphic-jahiliat!
