Okay so someone explain this to me..........how is the iphone near $1000?
I see that for the 128GB Iphone 6 the price is $399......am I missing something?

My current contract is up so I'm 99.9% sure I'm going for the I6 not keen on the screen size of the plus. :/

just pre ordered my iphone 6 thru tmobile. don't have highs that it will arrive on the 18th. T-mobile messed this ordeal up pretty badly. pre-ordering website wasn't alive at 2amCST. can't pre order thru phone. JUMP users can't pre-order. page finally went live at 7amCST.

So all the iphone users are buying it for status symbol? how about million users who jailbreak their iphone to tweak add more features thats for status symbol? how about who stick with iphone beacause of the single hand usability thats for status symbol? some people don't use samsung, android products because of th Lag, Malware, yes its up to google to control the hardware. they are putting off a lot users who don't malware, Lag on their phone. people want a real not a toy. " this application has stopped working". no one got time for that.
We will talk again about the one hand usability when you get an iPhone plus.

You still have the 18 month product cycle which apple readily beats.
Compare that to iphone 4. It was released in June of 2010 and technically it still is under software updates (iOS 8 hasn't come out yet), but even if we go by last update iOS 7.1.2 release date of June 2014, then it is a solid 4 years of support. New CDMA versions were released in February - April 2011, so still 3 years of solid OS support. Can you find that anywhere in Android?
Believe me, i passed on a first gen nexus to my sister and she likes it for wifi use. Personally, I am hesitant to buy samsung phones with their att, touchwhiz junk, but when you get to nexus, you lose the SD card functionality just like Apple. Sure, it is easy to attach documents and mod it more so than jailbreaking iphones since I don't know if you can install a brand new cyogen moded iOS, but you can see android clearly doesn't win here.
I know that geeks here, guys and girls included, mod their phones but let us be realistic. How many people do you know err regular people who are modding their phones? Samsung, LG etc didn't become rich because people were modding their phones!

Because nexus wasnt built by Google. It was built by LG and Samsung.
