The Japanese version of iOS 5 will have a special notifications widget: a setting to turn on instant messages from Japan’s earthquake early warning system. The system is so sensitive that it could reduce your battery life as it polls the warning servers constantly.
Re: Apple Adds Earthquake Warning To Japanese iOS
Thank you for the update. This new technology is really great! Albeit this may be equated to payday loans, it will be worth it. The iOS 5’s new notification system will serve as an early warning system that is remarkably more noticeable than a badge on the lock or merely the notification screen. Anyway, is this only available in Japan or is it available in other countries as well?
