Had hanging of Bhutto been a decision by free judiciary (and not a PCO judiciary) without any manuplation by Zia ul Haq....there wouldn't have been any doubt whatsoever in anyone's mind regarding the fairness of that decision....

Totally agree with that part. BTW, ZAB was no saint, and things he did were beyond criminal, but even the worse criminals deserve fair trial and due process of law.

Recommendation to ‘Q’ league:

Q league and their allies should use some intelligence in their election campaign. First they should tell Pakistani masses how it is impossible for western press and electronic media to accuse anyone of corruption because of western laws as if they would do that, media can be sued and heavy fine would get imposed on them, making people realize that western media cannot defame anyone without proof.

Than they should show all TV videos covering BB and NS corruption stories in western media. They should also give people all cuttings of ‘BB and NS’ corruption stories in western media.

Well, they should get corruption videos of NS and BB that British TV media has shown in UK during 90s. Then they should play it on stage (in large screen) in every Villages and Cities of Pakistan during their election campaign, asking people that if they would like such corrupts to be their ruler and that if they would like to give vote to party of such people who are world known looters and plunderers.

‘Q’ league should also hire TV time to air those programs in Pakistan daily from various channels (government and private) asking the masses same question.

Further, they should take all articles of corruption published in western press on NS and BB and distribute it all around Pakistan. They should tell people that if these were propaganda than BB and NS would have sued the press and electronic media, but since all in the western media regarding corruption of 'NS and BB' is all true and that western press have proof, BB and NS did not sue western press and electronic media. Further, they could also tell the masses that to confirm all what they are showing is true (that would be for assurance).

I am sure that Pakistani people are cleaver enough that when facing facts as obvious, they would know the ugly characters of both past rulers.

Thats all fine and dandy Saleem, but you are forgetting that the Q league consists of worse 'corrupts' as they have served under 2 terms of BB and NS, and now the 2002-2007 term, so the lotas in the Q league are truly the worst in the lot and need to be eliminated (or shot)

Brother sure, if they have any movies in western media on their corruption or their corruption stories in western press than why not? Let 'NS and BB' do the same. What I am saying is that masses should know that even in places where defamation is public crime and people can be sued for that with heave fine that could be in millions, even there 'NS and BB' corruption stories can be found, seen on electronic as well as in print media abundantly and that they are recognized all over the world as thugs.

I am living in west since long time and I have not seen one corruption story in electronic media or print media of anyone from Pakistan except these two thugs.

As bad as Nawaz and BB are, they are still answerable to the people, one way or the other...
Corruption will remain in Pak regardless of who is at the helm... What needed is democracy, regardless of who is in the lead.
Democracy will eventually create new leaders and show these two the door.

We stand lose far more under the dictator, who after he is dead or deposed, will leave nothing behind to take over....

Appeal to Pakistanis: Please do all to keep our country tidy from world renowned past corrupts NS and BB and all those who are contesting election under their banner: These two mega corrupts ‘NS and BB’ are infected with disease and their disease is corruption, nepotism, misconduct misuse of power, destruction of Pakistan and power. There only purpose in life is to make poor Pakistanis fool and to loot and plunder Pakistani wealth.
Thinking about them crooks (Asif Ali Zardari, Bai-Nazeer Bhutto, Nawaz Shareef) I have few lines about them:

hon gay badnaam tou kiya naam na hou gaa?
Karayin gay chori tou kiya ilzaam na hou gaa?

Mashhoor huay yea jo zamanay may her su
Naam Pakistan ka kiya badmaam na hou gaa?

Chorie hay nishani in thug shobdaybazo kee

Actually, I am not supporter of any crook politicians nor have any grudge with them. I do understand that Chaudhari may be corrupt too, but compare to these two mega corrupts, they could not be more than petty thieves. So, don’t get fooled by comparing and considering equal petty thieves with world renowned mega corrupts like NS and BB. On the other hand, read Transparency International report on corruption (I am including here) to judge yourself.

I am concerned, as my problem is them mega corrupts, not only because Pakistan has suffered in past, but by being Pakistani and having plenty of emotional as well as financial interest in Pakistan, I suffered too.

I would not go on stories though I know many stories about NS as well as BB, worse than a person can think. For instance, Shareef kee bhatti may puray train kay nayea injaan gayeb hou jatay thay … and that … all manhole covers of Lahore use to disappear in the bhatti of Shareef. Similarly Zardari (on behalf of BB) putting bomb on legs of British businessman to get his money out of bank to give him, or that Zardari forcefully stealing cars of others if that car he liked, or for that matter, looting truck load of used Bank notes and looting and transferring artefacts from Pakistani Museums and transferring it abroad … … Forget those stories (even though most are true), let see some concrete reasons to recognise true faces of NS and BB.

There are 100s of references about corruption of both NS and BB, not from Pakistani media but from respectable western media (and governments). We should remember that Western media, especially British Media would never accuse anyone of corruption without proof, because they can be sued on ‘defamation charges’ and have to pay heavy compensation. Whatever I am putting here (except American senate report and Transparency International report, for that I have given their own site and not referring to some secondary sites) are all from British media. If anyone has doubt about that and live in UK, they can go to library and call for all the papers I mentioned and see that there, first hand. I am putting references here so that people can make up own mind.

[As for Pakistani media, we know that they earn their living by defaming others and getting paid for that, and that is why for instance, GEO is so reluctant to sign defamation and responsibility clauses of PEMRA. Though I can see that some who signed are still doing irresponsible journalism and defamation without any proofs]

BeNazir and Zardari, master of corrupts: These two are such corrupts that USA used their corruption in Senate report as an example to change American banking law. What a name they gave to Pakistan … a country that produces world class top thugs and still Pakistani Paindus vote for them.

U.S. Senate: 404 Error Page

Senate report mentions ‘four cases of world mega corrupt crooks’ that did mega corruption while in office as ‘head of state or being close relative to them’ and used city bank to launder their ill gotten money. Amongst them were:

One: Salinas case (brothers of Carlos Salinas, president of Mexico)
Two: Zardari case (where along with him, Bai-Nazeer Bhutto and her mother names are also mentioned)
Three: Omar Bongo, president of Gabon
Four: Abacha family, children of Nigerian leader General Sani Abacha

[If you will read carefully above senate report as I did, you will find how respectable Shaukat Aziz was considered by his employer. He was amongst top position of an institute (City Bank) more than 10 times bigger than Pakistan with immense power in that institute and had power to do corruption much more than Prime Minister of Pakistan or any country (if he was a corrupt person … but than if he was corrupt, he would not have reached to that level where he reached). He left City Bank when he was on line to become the head of City Bank where his one nod could have given billions of dollars loan to others, unquestioned].

Nawaz Shareef: Certainly he was less corrupt than BB and Zardari but still was mega corrupt. There was many hours long TV documentary on his corruptions in British TV media. A story of his Raiwand Palace was also aired on British Media and showed how Nawaz used tax payer money to develop and refurbished his personal palace and the area to boost his Raiwand investments. Nawaz other exploits are also shown and also how he stole moved many millions of dollars abroad, belonging to Pakistani poor.

Nawaz ways of corruption was devious as well as ingenious. One fine story includes him reducing custom duty on BMW for a day and during that day his cronies imported 100s of BMWs for showroom, thus stealing money in this way from treasury. How it works? Let say a BMW costs 25 lac rupees in west. Custom duty in Pakistan is let say 75 lac rupees. In market BMW sells for let say 110 lac. A normal merchant after all costs would profit around 5 lac on each BMW. Nawaz and his cronies on behalf of Nawaz paid 10 lac duty instead of 75 lac (because for that particular day Nawaz reduced the duty that going to normal after all cars cleared … One day). Thus BMW cost ‘him and his involved crook Minister’ 35 lac (not 100 lac what it should cost). Price to sell would be same, 110 lac. Thus, these crooks instead of making profit of 5 lac, made 70 lac profits (out of those 70 lac, 65 lac was because of stealing custom duties on each car. On 100 cars, it means he stole 65 crore of people’s money).

Transparency International: Well, Transparency International did corruption survey in Pakistan between periods of different rulers. Even though it is human nature that people forget minor corruptions of past rulers as time passes, still NS and BB corruption was so overwhelming that people still remembered their periods as most corrupt, and certainly considered Musharraf period as period of Angel in respect to ‘NS and BB’.

Anyhow, crooks supporters (including many famous ‘bikao maal’ journalists of almost all famous media outlet) tried to twist the survey report so unabashedly (bay-sharmee kay saath) that Transparency International got embarrassed and felt need to clarify their survey report, because corrupts were making media twisting the figures. Question: Who amongst these regimes is/was most corrupts?

Results:
This is the answer what Transparency Internaltion got:
48.7 percent said that BeNazir period was most corrupt.
43.03 percent said that Nawaz period was most corrupt.

3.17 percent said that Musharraf period is most corrupt.
2.17 percent said that Ayub period was most corrupt.
1.53 percent said that Zia period was most corrupt.
1.4 percent said that Z. Bhutto period was most corrupt.

Just look at figures of BeNazir and Nawaz … than compare that with Musharraf and you will notice that it is difference of sky with earth. **You can see that compare to BB and NS, present regime is negligible corrupt. **

Bhai, aab sunie sunayee batoon kay baray may kiya kaha jaa saktaa hay? But then ... I have not heard of any write off of debt by Chaudhary Shujaat and Pervez Elahi recently (I mean during last five years, when they came in power).

As bad as Nawaz and BB are, they are still answerable to the people, one way or the other... Corruption will remain in Pak regardless of who is at the helm... What needed is democracy, regardless of who is in the lead. Democracy will eventually create new leaders and show these two the door.

Well, to me there is democracy in Pakistan since 2002 and it is much better than
democracy than any past democracy in Pakistan or any democracy in third world country. Pakistanis today have more freedom in every way and people are represented at lowest level.

It might be different to you because for some Pakistanis ... as it use to happen in Pakistan before 1999 ... democracy meant 'Some selected people can Rule and do nepotism, misuse of power, misconduct, loot and plunder, deprive merits, and fight (even kill) political opponents, than there is democracy, else there is no democracy. I do not believe on that.

As for Leaders: true democracies do not need leaders (especially thug leaders like NS and BB) but need strong Parties. In true democracy, there are no Chiefs but all are Indians following a set directions led by parties. To me, leaders are needed for determining directions, bringing nations out of turmoil and lead them to objectives (and Musharraf has already done that). Once set objectives are achieved, than if there are no defined leaders it is fine, as nations can follow determined directions led by 'Parties'.
