i could talk about my computing project where i programed a prototype software to deal with the problem of invoiceing and unpaid invoices in an accounting firm.
wat do u hope to gain from this training experience?
Weed, I think this is the same training programme I applied for when I was at uni … is it a 2 month summer placement for ethnic minority students, that pays nuff dollars? They never got back to me, so I’m sure you don’t want my help

I had work experience with Shabbir & Company from july to september 2003. my job position was trainee accountant. I was expected to carry out bookkeeping in order to allow the preparation and submition of the final accounts, by one of the senior accountants.
I was expected to learn quickly and know my way around the office. To insure the deadline for the accounts was met. My ability to adjust to the new environment, take on responsibility and provide accurate data lead to the senior accountant having plenty of time to complete the accounts and detect any anomalies to. This allowed the accountant to give our client the appropriate advice.

I was required to submit a project for A level computing. The purpose of my project was to produce a prototype of how to solve the problems faced by a fast growing accounting firm, which used registers to keep the list of invoices.
The problem with the manual system was that the process of adding the record of a new invoice and checking for overdue invoices was slow and cumbersome. The client contact information also had to be available at hand which was not easy to get.
My constraints were the programming language, my knowledge of it, lack of cooperation by the clients regarding questionnaires.
Example of a problem was that there are different number of days in each month so I decided to standardise a month to 30 days to insure consistency in the ‘over due’ flag for the invoices.
To improve the prototype I would use a different programming language, be more knowledgeable in the language, make different templates for each company type when client information is being added to the system. The details required for a sole trader would be very different to a limited company.
