Its a wondeful thought. Its the poetic ecstasy one can ever assign to such an inner feeling.
Overall, your poem is good but it shud not have had a cut-throat end approach.
If its well thought out verse, I really am impressed. Being keen reader of literature I can well understand its implied meaning and the psychological environ attached to it. This feeling comes only when u are in a very very deep communion, I repeat very very deep. The flight of ur imagination in this tiny verse is breath-taking. I am really very very impressed.
Well, not all stories end up like that…thatswhat I wanted to convey. Besides its not sure always that u have the real knowledge of other’s feelings…so in case its lighter for u to fall to yet another love, that might be harder for your first love to absorb. Get me?

Ahhh, now i got ur point and I would say that its more like a selfless approach, after all, when you have said your good byes, by no means you have any kind of expectations from your beloved. Its better for him/her to let go n move on, infact for both. and thats what happen mostly in real life which i exactly wanted to express.
