I am not sure how the rental agreement about electric bill and maintenance goes in UK but if I were to live alone(or with friend) in US/Canada , I’ll prefer condo/apartment to save myself hassle of maintenance and water/electric bills and in some area of cleaning snow. With kids of course you need more space and privacy too then getting a house makes sense.
I’ve rented both… if I was a student and looking to rent, I’d go with apartment. Its so much easier.. Life is easier in Apartment. Houses come with so much headache. Yes more room. About privacy, I had more in apartment becaue of the setup. I absolutely loved living in Apartment. No maintanance headache. More utlities were covered in the rent.
Unfortunately none of the utilities are covered in any of the apartments we’re looking at
Kind of sucks but anyhow I guess seeing all the places will make the decision a lot easier.
