Make a list of must haves. See what neighborhood you want to live in. And decide from there. If you’re renting it shouldn’t be so hard. When we were renting our must haves was a safe, happening and easily commutable place. Now that we have a kid we live in a safe, child friendly and quiet place. Set your priorities straight.
I don’t know how it is in the UK but owning a house here is very safe if you’re in the right area. If you decide to rent/buy in the ghetto prepare to put bars on ur windows and doors. I think area is very important when looking for a place.

Renting.. the town is pretty decent so not really worried about being in an unpleasant environment because it’s all pretty nice.. But you can never be too safe I guess!
