There’s a weekly online radio show that i listen to quite religiously. But since they don’t have any podcast available, i have to listen to it while i’m on my computer. I would kill to be able to carry it on my mp3 player. So is there any software out there that records whats running on your audio card and saves it as an mp3 or wma once its done? I would love to be able to do that so that i can listen to it on the go aswell.
Re: Anyway to record whats running on your computer?
Hmmm...i would definitely prefer WMA since it can sound just as good in 64kbs as mp3 does at 128kbs (well, for all intents and purposes anyways) and that way i can save a lot of space.

You can use a software called Replay Radio , i used it for recording Adil Rai shows on BBC Asian Network and it worked like a charm. U just set the timings and stuff and it will automatically record and save as mp3 or any other audio extension. It will record the whole show with start and stop time. Regarding conversion of wma etc the best software to use is dbpoweramp.com , its fast and simple.
But if u use Replay Radio , the software can save the stream as mp3 itself.
Otherwise what u can do is use audio editing software like Sony Acid Pro or Soundfordge and record the stream via stereomix in the program, and then just render the recording as mp3 to any streamrate like 96kb/sec or 128kb etc etc.
