Re: anyone.....
so if it is some big conspiracy secret that the military is not letting out would someone in the know just be telling it to their family members? and even if they were, would the person in the know go and divulge the 'undar ki story' to strangers on a discussion forum?

Re: anyone.....
We have a friend who lives in Swat where theres alot of this related trouble going on. He is a gov't official and quite knowledgeable about history of pak and all the related issues of the day. anyway, his take on the whole thing....the army doesnt want to get TOO involved because the general populace is (by hook or crook) at least in some way behind the fanatics. The fanatics usurp the local radio waves and flood the people with "This is the will of Allah, and THIS is what it says in the holy Quran" yadayada. So the army is doing a lackluster and listless job but at the same time, strongly encouraging the development of local militias. I have no comment on my views about this right now, I'm still not quite sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing...it just IS right now. May God/Allah help them.
Re: anyone.....
tribal areas are different from awat and they are both very different than lal masjid
Re: anyone.....
This is what called "Cheh Mangoeeyaaa" or "Afwa'hain" or u can also say "Qiyaas Araeeyaan". The only point I am pondering is that .... most of entraces to ISB have check points with cars/lorries/trucks checked entering ISB. How the hell those weapons reached in the heart of ISB? Means someone was either involved or didn't do his job (properly).
Re: anyone…
different…but assuredly related. It seems that a good number of the lal masjid participants hail from Swat and it is there that a good part of the backlash and troubles are right now. If you google the topic, you will find Swat mentioned in many/most of the Lal Masjid reports. Heres a few interesting articles on the topic:
Re: anyone.....
yeah but when we are talking about islamabad and then about swat and that local populatiion is involved by hook or crook that is misleading. vast majority of ppl in islamabad would have nothing to do with this sort of crowd.
just thought I would put that note so someone not familiar with pakistan reading it does not think that the militants have support of ppl in islamabad or running militant radio stations in islamabad.

While it is unclear how "family members" get their information, they are the most credible sources among conspiracy theorists. Hareem01's Ammi Ji told her that she (and all their neighbors) "believed" that there were over a 1000 casualties in the Lal Masjid attack. When confronted that people in the media have been unable to corroborate these reports, Hareem01 informed me that the media personnel 'were there when it happened" (as opposed to Hareem's ammji ji, I suppose).
