What is said here (as far as I can understand with my very limited knowledge) is that poet apparently was attracted towards the teachings of Christianity and idolism even though poet is a muslim.. but since when he has an oppertunity to visit Madinah Munawwarah, he now knows how fake all other is and how weak this worldly glamour is infront of true teaching of Rasoolualh:saw:

His name was Wahshat; at the end of a long line of verses, in one of the couplets, he would put his name. i know there’s a technical Urdu word for it, starts with ‘meem’, can’t remember it now. So after several verses, there is one couplet (as in the one you quoted) where his name ‘wahshat’ always comes.
Anyways, thank you for helping me to understand it.
"Takhallus" (either part of name or any nick other than name) is used in "Maqta" which is normally the last shair....
however, he has used it uniquley twice using it at the last shair of each part ..

hey if i post more of his work (don’t worry, not today but maybe some other day), would you translate that for me as well - not in a detailed manner, general gist of it like you did above? The rest i can figure out on my own as long as someone points me in the correct beginning direction. He received some amazing positive reviews from Hali and Iqbal… i can post up those if you want.
It’s just that i really want to understand his work much better and i can’t right now. That’s really frustrating for me. He was fluent in both Urdu and Farsi. Anywho, thanks Anwaar - i really appreciate this.
