well if u have options than Isl is the best place to live in. And there the school BeaconHouse is best they also offer A level and in rawalpindi the best place is Peshwarmore andb Newlalazar and also Gulraiz colony the nearest school from there is convent and its standard is very good. No info about wah cantt sorry....

I been there every time I go to Pak. Its between ISL\Rawalpindi and Haripur right.
Plus I think I have some cousings there.

fabs, my dad was employed by HMC, taxila - hence the connection.

afia, Wah Cantt is definitely the best place to settle in my opinion. It's highly developed, and a very clean and safe place to live. For your weekly shopping, you can always go to pindi or isb which are less than an hr. drive from wah cantt.
i did my junior high at Presentation Convent Hassanabdal. It' was an excellent school back in the eighties. Not sure how it is now. I also attended Sir Syed College, Wah Cantt and did my secondary level grades at that school. Highly competitive, but not as good as Presentation Convent when it comes to personal attention to each student. I hope this helps :)

sadzz, yes we used to live only fifteen minutes walk from the taxila university.

I have seen lots of development in wah.. been there few times visiting my friends but definitely if i were given a choice i would settle in wah rather than islamabad.
not sure abt any A level thing there (there are surely schools there for it but never bothered to see which ones)

when i was in med school in isb, i knew this girl from wah cantt....Unzila something..nice name and nice girl....i have relatives that live in wah factory...is that the same as wah cantt?

wah cantt is a nice place has good schools as i ahve heard and main point it is very clean and that mosque there is postcard material.............

I was born n brought up in wah cantt..... n jus came back from wah in jan 08
afia u must b settld by now by i jus thought to tell more bout my home town....

wah cantt has changed alot in recent years, therz now

schools:-
Beacon house
Lahore Grammer School(LGS)
Roots
Bahria
n many more grammer schoolz

universities:
University of Wah
-wah engineering college
-wah medical college
Comsats intitute of IT

these r main plus there r several institutes for higher education in this city of jus 12kms
now we have 2 chicken shops n pizza shops with free deleviry
n yh there r more cars on the roads but still vry good, clea n green roads

Yes, i am from wah, but now live in islamabad.
wah has good schools, sir syed school, beacon house, and hasan abdal convent in sister city, i dont know all schools. also in wah is Wah medical college, wah engineering college, wah university, comsats institute of engineering,..Seperate Post Graduate FG college for both men and women, in Fact Education rate is highest in Pakistan, I can bet on it.
Security is good, but a bomb blast killed 50 men at factory gate last year. because it is an defence production area. they are trying to keep it safe, but it is army area. although they are civillians majority, but produce weapons for army. Pakistan Ordinance Factories .
