anyone who can answer my question??

OK, i recently got the chance of reading this book about “Ahwaal-e-Jannat” after qayamat.. a question raised while reading this particular topic and want to know if anyone can answer me..

its been written that Jannati Mardo ko bahattar (72) wives di jaayengi… then usi k neechay likhha thaa ke few people have raised this question several times that if a Jannati mard will be given 72 wives.. how many husbands will a jannati aurat be given? and the writer answered himself.. that how shameful is this question that people even think this way.. when a woman has never been allowed in Dunya to marry more than one man (at a time) how can she be granted more than one husbands up above in heaven… this shouldn’t even be thought!!

now this raised a lot of questions in my mind..

 1. If a woman here in the world has not allowed to marry more than one man at a time, it has not even allowed to a man to marry more than 4 women at a time!! but in heaven, it is said, he will be given more than 4 wives i-e, 72 wives so why can’t a woman be allowed to have more than a man up in the heaven?

ye to Allah hay ne jisne gunah ko gunah aur sawab ko sawab kaha hay.. kuch cheezen aisee hain jo agar hamen hamaray Quran, ambiya, nabi, paighambar aur ulma se na pata chalteen to hamen pata hee na hota ke ye gunah hay ya sawab.. eg: drinking water: pani kharay hoke pina gunah hay.. agar hamen na pata hota to pani.. is a normal thing, ham kharay ho ke pani p saktay hain.. but we know its a sin.. yet what about aab-e-zam zam.. not allowed to sit while drinking.. to ye sab kiske ehkamaat hain?Allah ke..

ab dunya main mard 4 nikah ker saktay hain aur aurat 1.. (at a time) to ye ksi insaan ka hukum to nahin tha.. Allah ka hukum hay..Uska farman hay.. isi tarhan ham ye sochnay p ke kiya aurat ko bhi jannat main aik se zada shohor milay ge.. ye kyun sochain ke oo.. ye to sharamnaak baat hay.. KYUN? as an ordinary question paper.. Allah has asked us to follow his instructions during our stay in World.. we follow.. we get Heaven .. to phir hamari khuwahishat aur nafs p qabu panay ka kiya faeda jab jannat main bhi dunya ke he rules hon..

Allah mujhay maaf karna but this was a confusion, want to share and will to correct myself IF i am wrong..

no NON-SERIOUS comments are welcomed in this thread.. please thanks!!

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

the answer is 18 husbands. How do I know?

simple math.

A man is allowed 4 wives. While a wife is allowed 1 Husband.

The ratio is four wives to a husband. or 4:1

if we raise wives to 72 then what do we get for husbands? or 72 : X

So you divide 72 by four and you get the answer this way ratio remains the same, percentage wise.

4 Wives : 1 Husband
72 Wives : 18 Husbands

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

This.

Seriously, the whole point of restraining ourselves in this world is so that we can get into Jannat. And once we get there, things will be as WE WISH. That's the whole point of Jannat. I'm sure there are couples on this earth who would like to remain together even in Jannat. I believe 72 is just a metaphor and not to be taken literally.

Now, Allah says about jannah that it is something no eye has seen, and it never occurred to the human heart. So, when you look at the other descriptions of paradise in the Qur'an, you have to know that those are approximations. Do not think that Allah is describing physical types of things that we know of in this world. That is what Imam Al-Ghazali said, and that is what the 'ulama say. One of the things that some people are trying to use against Islam is that they say we envision paradise as being this type of sexual romp or something like that, which is a terrible thing. For the human being, the highest level of pleasure is in sexual relations, and therefore, it would be appropriate, according to what Imam Al-Ghazali says, to give some indication of the pleasures of paradise by talking about something that human beings know about, which is that experience, because the majority of human beings do not have intense mystical experiences in their life. There are mystics who do have these experiences that are very profound and intense, but most people do not. The most intense experience that they will have of pleasure is in this act, and when Allah describes the pleasures of paradise, He uses those examples because they are close to people's understandings.

*What I said about hur al-'ain is that the 72 virgins is not mentioned in the Qur'an. I did say that you have to be very careful about literalism with the Qur'an. For example, the Qur'an says about Allah, "there is nothing like Allah," and then what does Allah say after that? He says, "and He is the All-Hearing and the All-Knowing." Well, how would you know what All-Hearing and All-Knowing is if you did not have hearing and knowing? Also, Allah sees, so how would you know what sight is if you did not have sight? Allah gave you sight, but is your sight like the sight of Allah? Absolutely not.

Both quotations are from Sheikh Hamza who seems to be a somewhat levelheaded Alim.

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

First of all.... men will get 72 hoorain.. not wives. But His wife will be the queen of those hoors. Meaning his wife will be more beautiful than all 72 hoors. For women believe it or not they will be given the option if they want to stay with there husbands in Jannat or not. Meaning that if you for some reason did not have a happy marriage in this world and your husband was not a good towards you. You have the option of leaving him in Jannat. So even though men will get 72 "virgins" in jannat their "wordly wife" will be more beautiful than any of them and that wife will be asked if she wants to stay with her husband. So basically if the wife choosing to stay with ehr husband is a GREAT honor for him :)

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

This is extremely sad to say that people have very vague and faked concepts.

As for as Queen your answer is correct, so you are absolutely right. and you said that no non-serious comments..... But people still gave their opinions.

The author of the book you are reading is wrong ... Azwaaj in the Qur'an refers to the hur of jannah ... these are perfect mates for all heaven dwellers ... The words= Azwaaj does not mean wives - but spouses.

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

@ Adqusit which are the vague and fake concepts?

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

i don't have enough knowledge abt this but as you said that we can't drink water in standing position n why we drink ab-e zam zam while we are sitting??? so about it i wud say that ab-e-zamzam is not ordinary water n we give standing ovation to every respectable thing...as you asked that why women can't merry more than one husband???so men r given more darjay than women...have you seen any ambiah is women???i think orat mard k muqablay main zada jald baz or jazbati hoti hai but on the other hand Allah put jannah in the feet of mother so what wud you say about this???the conclusion is that we can't see any thing imperfect in His makin.

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

Why do I get the feeling that we all here speculationg about Jannat are like 6 month old babies speculating about the Chaos Theory?

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

was that a serious reply??

like me :) i raised the question after reading the writers view!

in the book, word "biwian" is mentioned.. bahattar biwian! I believe she will be given a choice.. but what if her first husband died accidently and she loved him so much and then she married another man who washed away all her sorrows and she started loving him too.. now she loves both of her husband.. and she wants to live with both in heaven.. then??

oh, i know about why we sit and drink ordinary water and why we have to stand while drinking zam zam.. magar HAY to Allah ka hukum na........... agar past me kisi hadees ya qissay se iski nishandahi na hoti to hum zam zam bhi beth k peetay.. khana kharay hokay nahin khana chahye.. gunah hay?? kyun bhaee? standing ovation dain na usay bhi.. NO.. Cant do that.. zameen p beth ke khana sunnat hay.. kese pata chala.. ahadees se... Aap S.A.W kyun kertay thay aisa? unhe hukum milta tha.. misaal thay hamaray liye.. wo Allah ka pegham leke aaye thay aur Allah ke hukum ke mutabiq kartay thay jo bhi kartay thay... samajh aaya kuch?? second.. hazaro mard aisay hain to bohat zada gunah main ghark hain.. sharab, zina, juwah.. sab kertay hain.. Allah ne jannat main nematen mard ki fazeelat dekh ke nahin rakheen dear.. sab ka phal apnay apnay amalo ka natija hay!!!! warna sari aurten dozakh main aur saray mard jannat main hotay.. unhe fazeelat jo hasil hay :D

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

secondly, what if, in the world the wife loved her husband so much but husband didnt like her.. (one-sided love), now wife wants to live with him in jannat but man doesnt want her there! then?

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

where is the answer to my question?

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

I don't think anyone can give you a complete pakka answer. It's all speculation. When you get to jannah inshAllah, phir pata chale ga.

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

out of all, your answer was more satisfying :)

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

Phalay jaaant toh hasil kar low phir her sawal ka jawab mill ja-e ga. Agar aap ko pata chal ja-a ka jannat main bhei aurtoon ko aik he husband milay ga toh kia aap nafs per qabo pana chor dain gee ?

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

He answered your question. Every momin mard and aurat will be rewarded with 72 spouses.

BTW 72 in arabic does not mean 72, but it means many - like urdu word behtaray meaning many, comes from bahattar that means 72

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

I don't think I'll be needing 72 spouses eeeeeesh.

I don't often have to spell things out ... but it seems I do here ... please read this hadith:
It was mentioned by Daraj Ibn Abi Hatim, that Abu al-Haytham Abdullah Ibn Wahb narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudhri, who heard the Prophet Muhammad (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) saying: 'The smallest reward for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from al-Jabiyyah(A village in Damascus.) to San'a(Capital city of Yemen.)

Tirmidhi in "Sunan" (volume IV, chapters on "The Features of Heaven as described by the Messenger of Allah," Chapter 21: "About the Smallest Reward for the People of Heaven," hadith 2687).

Imam Tirmidhi classified this hadith as "Gharib"
The word in Arabic for spouses and wives is the same. People often relegate the women folk to having one "husband" in heaven because they feel they must tie some semblance with this world and the sensitivities with this world to Jannah. They are not doing any more than casting their own biases.

Women and Men are treated as heaven dwellers and both will be given "perfect mates" for their heavenly needs. The "similarity" is drawn to the type of a relationship a worldly woman would have for her husband is the type of relationship a heavenly mate will have with its corresponding heaven dweller (male or female) ...

TLK said that 72 is just a number ...which is confirmed because according to this hadith 72 is a minimum number ... !!!

Having said all of that ....

This hadith is gharib ... which has many meanings but one such meaning is that the direct text does not convey the meaning of the hadith - i.e. we must find the meaning of this hadith in the spirit of the narration not in the actual words. Other meanings for gharib are that it has limited narrations and so on ... some as a result call this a "weak" hadith, but to be correct "weakness" is the type of hadith that has broken chains or dubious narrators and to be strict "gharib" is a classification of the meaning of the text and not about the sanad (relationship/transmission).

My thoughts are that the person who wrote that part in the book is casting his own idea of what he would like to see in heaven ...

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

I think by the time I've said goodbye to number 72, I'll find it increasingly hard to remember the name of number 1 ... so I guess TLK bhai is right ... to a careless person 72 will just feel like an endless number .... LOL ... You have this to look forward to as well ... but they won't replace TLK I'm sure ... he will be your superman in Jannah :) ... May Allah (SWT) makes these words true.

Re: anyone who can answer my question??

Ameen.

I do hope he feels the same way about having me around up there as well…if not I’ll ask Allah mian to make me a shapeshifter or something :hula:
