Anyone tried it?

Since its not legal in California, so I doubt I will go for it, but just curious, if anyone has tried it… and whether they actually work, practically speaking.

I haven't used this one, but based on what I've heard this is one of the best ones out there.

Velentine 1 is simply the best. There is absolutely no doubt about it. Most expensive but worth spending all that money.

Hmmm.... Valentine One and Passport X50 are radar detectors... this one is scrambler.. Different.

I can't imagine why it would be LEGAL anywhere.

^^ Tell me about it! :hehe:

I guess, thats the kind of “freedom”, Bush keeps talking about. “Freedom” to fool the cops. Per saanu ki! :stuck_out_tongue:

This one is both detector and scrambler. I don’t think it’s wise to use scramblers anywhere not just Cali. Cops in some places are using scrambler detectors, at least where I live.

Faisal Bhaijan, please change the tilte of this thread. It is not good for old people’s health. I was expecting to find out about some new viagra type pill after reading this title.

:jhanda:

Bazaar Talk?

^Mods can post anything anywhere. I already saw this today in WA.

It's ironic that this company is based in Virginia where these detectors are illegal. I remember when I got my only ticket because of just having one in the car and not even turned on while I was in there.

Kharab kam ni jhar.

Dude It's not legal pretty much anywhere but I agree Valentine 1 is the best. A lot of my friends in LA have got them.

Just beez careful.

If it was not even turned on, then how did they find out? Or, put another way, why did they search your vehicle?

The radar detector was clipped to the sun visor. As I was getting out from a parking lot there was a police car close by and got pulled over. His argument was that in state of VA it is illegal to have it in the car whether its turned on or off. I guess I should have taken it off completely after crossing the state line.

How the heck one supposed to know about this stupid law? They need to put big signs on state line “No radar detectors allowed”.

The only problem with Valentine 1 is that it looks quite ugly (to me). I know that shouldn’t be a factor in deciding a radar detector, but kiya karein.. Allah ne ankhein di hein issi liyay.

Anyway, I was just curious about scrambler or whether it actually works or not. The other thing is that I don’t like to keep wires hanging around the car, or keep the lighter in use all the time. If I ever go for a radar detector (which are, ofcourse, legal in CA - I checked CHP website), then I’d probably go for a cordless solution like this. You miss some of the power of corded detectors, plus it won’t cover my back, and is expensive as hell, but still its performance rating isn’t too shabby.
