Re: Anyone knows Persian?

Man, and here I ended up pulling an all righter to bust out those 22 pages and you said you’d do it for me.

Anyways I had to go to the song to try to get the Persian and then look around a bit since it’s pretty dated Persian.

شیوه و شکل و شمایل و حرکات و سکنات
حسن یوسف ، ,ضا داری م عیسی ، ید بیضا داری
Style and form, icon, actions and inactions.
You have the beauty of Yusef (as), the bright hand (of Musa [as]) the breath of Isa (as), the bright hand (of Musa [as])

Have/posses داشتن
Here the informal “you”/تو stem ending is used, probably to indicate a sense of intimacy

So I found there’s a shair by Jami which reads:

حسن یوسف ، دم عیسی ، ید بیضا داری
آنچه خوبان همه دارند ، تو تنها داری

You posses the beauty of Yusef (as), the breath of Isa (as), and the bright hand*
Whatever good attributes the greats all have, you alone posses
*
(So like posses all of the good things)*

Of Hadhrat Musa (as)
Also for beza see: Beyza - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So yeah, if anyone has comments/criticisms, feel free to say them and point out any mistakes.

Re: Anyone knows Persian?
