Re: Anyone know anything about AGA KHAANI people?
That "white guy"' 's grandfather (Aga Khan III) was one of the key players in the Pakistan movement. He was the man chosen by the All-India Muslim League to first approach the British government and demand the creation of an independent Muslim homeland in India.
What did YOUR grandfather do for Pakistan's creation?
Regardless of the details of their religious beliefs, the leadership of their community played a critical role in the creation of Pakistan.
Qauid-i-Azam also belonged to an Agha Khani (Ismaili) family. According to "Political History of Pakistan...volume IV" (by Zhid Choudri):
"Qauid-i-Azam belonged to middle class Agha Khani (Ismaili) business family of Karachi. His father, Jinna Ponja, was a partner in the leather-exporting firm of his elder brother. He had seven children and Qauid-i-Azam was the eldest.....(Later) He, upon the advice from his relative, Qasim Moosa, who was a minister of Agha Khan, shifted to Bombay".
