So I had a consultation with a consultant at a dermatologists office today about getting a chemical peel. I actually have fairly clear skin but I have one area on my chin were when I was about 19 I got my first pimple, I was travelling to another country and I’m not sure if it was because of the change in weather or whatever I got a few inflamed pimples on my chin. They lasted quite long and when they went away left some scarring. Since then I would get hormonal pimples (ie right before my period) every few months and they would always be on that same area. As a result over time that area is kinda bumpy and red and slightly scarred. So basically I wanted to get rid of that so I went for the peel consultation. The consultant took a look and said it was really hard for her to tell how much of it is was actual scarring, and how much was oil ducts that were blocked at the time. She said the peel would help to clear out the oils that were blocking up the pores but not necessarily the scarring so much. Anyways other than this peel info she also told me about a line by Vivier Pharma called Skin TX which is could for this kind of acne. This product looks like it has good ingredients: retinoic acids, AHA’s and few others. Its a Canadian company. Has anyone had any experience using it? or heard of it at all?
