one of my fiances friends mentioned some place called Crimson in Lahore. They have a few designers that work for them who have recently graduated from design school. Has anyone ever had anything made by them or even heard of them?

yes Yes! I have heard of them. Their outlet is on M.M.Alam road, i think. Their dresses pictures come in Daily Times Sunday magazine every now and then and they are really pretty dresses. I really want to visit soon! Do they just have semi formals or formals too?

From what I have heard, they have everything. The designers who work for them will design anything for you. But I think they have stuff that is already made as well (from what I hear, so I dont know for sure). Does anyone have pictures of some of their stuff?

If accessible to you, buy the last issue of Libas magazine, it has scans of this dress. Will give you a much better,clearer view of the dress

Yeah i have seen that picture in Libas, it is clearer but just ne angle of the dress.
Anyway,can you tell me what kind of work is on it? Is it gota or what? What should i tell the karigar if i have to get this made? And what is the base fabric?

This will be done on Khaddi chiffon material with kamkhab ( banarsi material ) for applics and churidar
See the primary work is gota here with zari and have interlocked kora too.
It will have some jamawar / banarsi applics over which the work will be done. It will be better if you ask your karigar to prepare a sample of a motif first so you know exactly how it will turn out as this is a bit intricate in terms of embroidery. The karigar should have an eye for detail for this piece.

Its crimson. They have nice dresses. They havent advertised much but they have beautiful clothes.

They used to have a website crimson.org but that was not a helpful one. I dont about facebook group.
I saw their pictures in Libas magazine and in Dail Times Sunday magazines too. Honestly, they have very classy clothes!

^ i think it'll look great. make it long with a churidar bottom so it has the traditional look. Maybe some flower jewellry too! congrats!
