recently i’ve been thinking of buying a truck just for a change and it would be dynamite for winter driving…does anyone here have or own a truck? i was looking at the tundra and F-150 FX4…the downsides of owning a truck would be:
A desi driving a truck may look extremely ridiculous and strange
Before you do anything, go online and see how cheap these things are in America. Pickups are money makers for car makers and a quick price quote with a dealer in America will save you thousands :link to price quote american dealers for free. Just put the zip code/address of a hotel in some border city and they’ll email you a bunch of offers. Sometimes a new car in the US costs less than it does in Canada. Importing is a sinch.
Anyway - we have a Nissan Frontier crew cab in the family and it’s not horrible on gas even with the pt 4wd.

I am going to buy a truck very soon too.
yes the requests could get pretty bad...but it would be pretty cool especially if you can buy a small powerboat and take it out in the summertime....i have been looking at prices in the states but there are some taxes you have to pay to import and modifications that need to be done to the vehicle to bring it up to canadian standards...i will investigate further
knockout_artist: what kind of truck are you looking at buying?
