Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

What's your height and weight?

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Ah same issue, I need to gain 15 kg as well :frowning:
I’m 5’3 and 46 kg.. It doesn’t matter how much I eat, cz I’m not gaining weight

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

You are overwhelming yourself by thinking you need to gain 15 kgs because you don’t. That will put you on the higher end of healthy BMI. Your current BMI is just under 18 which is below healthy BMI so yes you do need to gain wt but only a few kgs. A total wt of 50kgs would put your BMI at 19.5 which is well within the healthy range. Increase your portion size if that’s difficult then have more meals/snacks but not the things midnight suggested :stuck_out_tongue: Good luck.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Don’t eat junk or fast food, though high in calorie content will make you lazy and sluggish, eat healthy, more emphasis on protein and build muscle.
Blah blah blah im not saying get buff, but the workout and gaining muscle will add weight and also tone the body so when you do gain weight you will gain it more gracefully. My mom did this fig and milk thing you can search online for my sister when she had gotten sick and needed to gain weight that gave her amazing glow and made her healthy real quick.
I heard the fig milk thing for either sickness, or increase sexual appetite but what does it matter all the benefit and make you glow, Eh. I'm all for that glow.Good luck.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

I agree with CDG, I really don’t think you need to gain 15kg. Maybe you meant 15 pounds?

My regular weight was 45/46kg and I am 5’2". I went up to about just shy of 50 and it was not good - just accumulating fat in places such as arms, tummy and hips which is really unnecessary. I have gone back down to 48kg now in 1 week by going back to my usual diet (now that I’m not studying, I don’t have cravings). 45kg may be back to the underweight border but I felt much healthier than I do now.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

I am 5'3'' and weigh 37kg

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Yep you definitely need to gain wt but just like losing wt gaining (in a healthy manner) is a slow process. Some of the previous posts give good advice.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

and a diet coke at the end :)

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

It's the working hours - food needs to be given a priority in your life ... I'm sorry but the case is lifestyle rather than diet.

Set aside time to cook your own food. Jacket Potatoes with beans are good and easy - Have heavy breakfasts because that will increase your appetite ... Walk as much as you can and eat on time - not when you are hungry ... so set alarms for food and eat when you have to not when you feel like it. Good Luck.

Accompany food with cheese and mayo ...

Although I am a bloke, I'm only slightly taller than you and yet nearly double your weight ... Your target weight should be 55kg. I'm trying to get down to 75kg only 7kg to lose.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

mmm cheese and crackers.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Parothay :)

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

Lol well trying to gain 15 kg was a bit exaggerated, I would be more than happy to be at least 50 kg. I recently lost 11 kg without aiming to lose weight but I can’t gain weight for some reason :confused:My awesome stomach can’t handle junk food so I will need to be patient :frowning:

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

I used to do exercise regularly during my teens but not anymore. It might help actually. I have increased some weight but still not enough and the only thing I did was improve my diet schedule. Anyone who suggests junk food for gaining weight is actually kidding. That doesn't help much, not in the long run anyway. I am a bit lazy but you mentioned you are already trying so may be you can prepare a chart of weekly diet plan that you'd follow and then follow it religiously. Get help from some nutritionist if possible but if not, there are a lot of resources available online too. Lets share how it works out for you. Best of luck.

Re: Anyone has tips for gaining weight here?

OMG THIS SI SO TRUE!!!!!

Everyone says eat breakfast to lose weight, but all the times I DO eat breakfast (which I dont' believe is heavy at all by the way).....I end up eating more throughout the day. :(
