yesterday i went to makkah for the survey and found pretty good pieces there for the range of 60k-80k.
i wanted to ask if you hav shopped your bridals from there? how is their quality because they seemed good to me even if we consider fabric and quality of work.
i heard that these types of shops have issues abt kala hone wala kaam? is that true?
plus how much can i bargain from thr if i liked a bridal suit which the shopkeeper says is of 75k then in what amount should one do the deal thr?
Re: anyone had experience with makkah on tariq road for bridals
So I went ahead and purchased both my wedding/walima outfits from makkah... I bought a pishwas for 30K and a long shirt/ajaar for 27k.
My pishwas is absolutely stunning mashAllah and the long shirt/ajaar, I have yet to see. I have noticed some threads/beads coming loose, but nothing too alarming... I purchased them in January/February and haven't seen any kala hone wala kaam yet...
As for bargaining I can't really help you with that. My family and I live in the US so we weren't really great at the negotiating thing :(
I would definitely recommend buying from makkah. Some of the guys that work there are jerks, but ignoring that fact, I was just looking at the quality and selection and I really loved what I got. I know there was another guppan that recently posted her wedding/walima pics and she got both of her outfits for makkah as well...
Re: anyone had experience with makkah on tariq road for bridals
one more thing, there are two makkahs, I preferred the one in the lavish shopping center (across the street from Rabi center). The other is in Rabi Center.
also check the post on this page by tranquil, where she states what she got from makkah…
Re: anyone had experience with makkah on tariq road for bridals
I think the bessst stuff on Tariq Road is on the street thats behind Tariq Road in shops called Samsons and Memsaab. A bit expensive but truly out of this world!!! I didnt seem to like the material they use in Makkah, either their kaam is massive and broad or looks like a 40k. Like a dress we kinda liked they said for 90k...it was in noo way justifying the amount without saying anything I tried leaving and the price is then quoted at 55k. U're in a shop called Makkah, this is not a fair dealing!!!
Re: anyone had experience with makkah on tariq road for bridals
they are actually really good! you just have to be careful with the type of fabric they choose... i know someone who got their bridal done from there it was about 1.5 lakh i think.. it was really nice! and they havent told me about the stones turning dark

Re: anyone had experience with makkah on tariq road for bridals
yep.. farshi gharaha..
because i got a lot of jehaz clothes made there they bundled it all up in to one big package..
well i had no choice really in terms of timings.. i didnt really go for the latest style lengha.. as i always wanted tradtional looking.. so fashion wise it wasnt a concern for me..
however in terms of kaam going old etc.. i'll find out i guess.. IA i hope its all good..
