I know Staines very well - worked and lived there for some time - what would you like to know? No apnay for many miles by the way!

Staines is tiny and fairly middle class - the only non-whites living there are the business owners (couple of bangladeshi families, the odd indian etc).

Halal food is not available so you would have to travel to Slough or Southall or Hounslow. The same goes for mosques but you can pray at the Royal Holloway uni on Egham Hill Egham if you can work out how to get it. Its a 5 min drive depending on time of day.

Personally I would say that there is not much to see or do in Staines itself - depends on what you are after.
