I need to know cheaper accommodation options for 2 weeks in L.A. and 2 weeks in Houston. Any one of you living in these cities?

dallas is 2 hourz form houston n way cheaper . esp if u lookin for an apartment

try craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums for starter.. I m still trying to find one very specific site which someone recomended last year for houston.

Dallas is def NOT 2 hours from Houston.

I am from LA. Adventurer hotel in inglewood, within few miles of the airport - about $30 a night for a two suite bedroom and free breakfast and dinner. I used to work there.

Yeah, but unless you get involved, wont affect you.

Also, if youre just visiting, its OK - its not like someone will bug you if you walk around the streets and if youre visiting LA then you wont be staying at your hotel all day. Youll be checking out LA - youll just crash there at night. Thats the cheapest option, otherwise anything in LoneyPlanet guide book is good.
