So, I take it this movie is banned in Pakistan and most Islamic countries because it shows glimpses of the Prophet? Or did I just hear that wrong?
Re: Anyone ever watched the movie "The Messenger"?
Yes, we've seenit years ago. But as far as I can remember, they didn't show the prophet and we didn't here 'his' voice either. So there was nothing wrong with it I suppose.
I had no idea it was banned in most Islamic countries.
Re: Anyone ever watched the movie “The Messenger”?
I was just guessing it would be. I don’t know for sure.
Re: Anyone ever watched the movie "The Messenger"?
banned for showing the prophet(SAW)?! surely thats not true! it was filmed in Morocco with prominent Muslims advising and helping in its production!
i watched this film only 2 nights ago(i watch it atleast once a fortnight to keep spirit and faith up):), followed by the DVD documentary and making of the movie etc.
in its description they were VERY careful not to show the prophet(SAW) i remember watching this bit in the documentary where they were discussing with leading Muslim groups from around the world and they decided that the camera will play the part of the prophet (SAW) and his voice wil not be heard, instead they will play low music of some sort.
also, Hazrat Ali was not shown nor heard, only his 2 headed sword was shown whilst in battle. and i could be corrected on this, but im sure the prophets(SAW) parents werent shown either.
people shown: Hamza, hazrat Bilal and some of the quraish and prophets(SAW) companions.
