Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
^ try to rest a lot, and don't wind you up with the thought about what can happen. Insha allah everything will be fine.
Try to drink lots of water and I heard that fresh coconut water is really good.
It's been 10 months since i have been married. But we started trying last month. i am a healthy 26 yr old women with regular periods. I have been keeping track of my periods since two years by using the website My monthly cycles, which also tells you abt the predicted ovulation dates. So we tried last month keeping in mind the ovulation dates. I was very hopeful , but got extremely upset when i saw my period....................... so i am getting worried now by reading all these posts..
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
^ It normally takes 3-6 months to conceive, for healthy couples. And there isn't really any cause to think there's "an issue" until a year has gone by. InshAllah you'll have a little one soon!

Dont get worried at all .. ALLAH has fixed a time for everything ... Dun worry, when the time is right, ALLAH will definitely bless u ... and besides that these kind of things take time ...
Try to be relaxed, dun panic and dun stress urself about this.
I know its easy to say things like that but it will really do u no good.
Ty to eat more fish, broccoli, spinach all the healthy stuff around & take folic acid every day or those Multivitamin Tablets for convieving....
i have heard mushrooms aint good for people who are trying to concieve so avoid those also try to avoid chewing gum & sour things my doc told me ..
Pregnacare from boots pharmacy UK ae great, they have folic acid and can helo conceiving.
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
^^ yeh .. i am using them as well for about 4 months now ...
I used for 2 months and now pregnant, was hoping to finish eating for 3 months before I ended up preg but it's good news.
I think if girls have been on the pill then it takes time for them effects to wear off, and for anyone trying for a baby should start eating folic acid immediately, its a good supplement for woman anyway.
take care
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
^^ ya u r right about the pill .. i guess thats my problem cuz i have been using the pill before we decided that we want to try for a baby ...
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
Hi GS, just thot i share my situation, i rly need a second opinion.
i'm in similar position too, we have been trying for over a year and no luck.
im 6st, 5'3'' and 25yrs old. we were referred to the fertility clinic by our GP, they took all tests and observed us for past 3 months . my periods r regular. im taking folic acid daily.
we went back y/day for results and they sed we r both fine medically as im producing rly healthy eggs and my hubs sperm count is good..altho im alittle underweight, my BMI is 16.5 and it shud be between 18 - 22.
.but my blood test showed im not immune to german measles ie rubella so have to be vaccinated for that, i thot i already had that dun at high school age.
also they sed before taking the next step to iui or ivf, they have to take a closer look at my womb, they have to perform a laproscopy to get a better view of my tummy area inside and to see if any tubes r blocked etc, they have to put me to sleep for this as i cant tk the pain. i screamed the place dwn when they tried to carry out smear test, they tuk three swabs, omg it hurt. but this laproscopy op procedure has lots of risks too, i rly dunno wat to do.
also theres so much pressure from inlaws as we've been married for over 4 yrs nw. i rly hate going to family gatherings now as auntys start asking me silly questions. they dnt understand, its all upto Allah, it'll happen when time is right. my hubbys been great support, he suggests we try as naturally as possible & keep praying..my inlaws are demanding us to get a medical report from the doc so they can see def with their own eyes that we r actually both fine, they dnt belive us otherwise, they dnt belive we r serius for a baby too.
with all this, omg...i try not think and stay calm but its easier sed than dun....im totally stuck. plz help.
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
We are trying too-I'm on my last cycle of clomid at the moment so we hope Inshallah Allah will grant us with a healthy happy baby soon.
Everything happens for a reason. We got married in 2006 and my Nani Aami died a year after. Since then, various things have come upon us (tests from almighty Allah) and we hope that our delay in concieving is a test from Allah too that inshallah we will pass.
So to all the sisters who are trying to concieve, keep me in your prayers and I will inshallah do the same.x
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
ive been trying for 2 months, it only 2 months but it feels like years....
and when you say ovulating, what do you mean.,,how do you ovulate...
i have regular periods......
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
Ovulation is something that is supposed to happen naturally if your cycles and your hormones are all functioning right. The first day is menses is "day 1". Around day 14, a ripened egg is released from your ovaries and begins to travel down your fallopian tubes. This is called ovulation. If a sperm fertilizes the egg, result is pregnancy.
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
also nadz, you can use an ovulation monitor to tell when you're most fertile days are, i.e. the days when you'll most likely conceive, or you can monitor your discharge. on the days when its translucent and really stretchy, like egg whites, those are the days you are most fertile.
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
Ovulation kit really helps..:k: start testing after the 13th day of your periods.
Here’s one that I use, it has 20 strips unlike the other brands that only give you 7-8 for $30 bucks!!

Hi :)
I think getting this test done where u can see if the tubes are blocked or not is definitely not wrong, once my mother told me that she was not conceiving for two years, consulted a doc after that and found out that one of the tubes were blocked, she got that membrane or whateva it was removed and the result after two months was a moti taazi bachi ... MOI ... :D
So, dun worry at all ... :) ALLAH sabb theek kare ga .. jus dun loose hope and dun stress urself, i know how relatives or people can be ...
but keep in mind that whatever it is, they cant help themselves to chew ur brians ... so just ignore it ..
one guppy here mentioned those fertility tests, try to use them as well, to have a precise indication ...
Wishing u all the very best .... :)
full stop.... many hugs to u!! i so feel ur pain. ive been married 4 yrs too but we only strted tryin more than a yr ago( i m PCOS patient). trust me ive been thru it ALL!!!! ive been on metformin for months, then tried clomid with metformin and without it also for 6 cycles. after this i decided to take a break. since more than 6-7 cycles of clomid is not gud they say. anyway, all this while i was in and out of hospitals for constant checkin up on my ovulation.. one time i ovulated but the egg were small, one time it was big enuff and i got injection. atleast 2 times i have taken injection. the pressure was way too mch to begin to explain. i was in hospital every 11th day of my period and 14th also if the result was gud. thankfully, i had insurance so i didnt care havin ultra sounds every month... but it was too stressful as u can see. cus each time my expectations wud b high, maybe i conceived on clomid but no, it didnt happen. to top it off, my hubs's sperm count was gud but motility way tooooooo low, that means the sperms had gr8 difficulty to reach my eggs. it was soo soo depressin, cus not only me, my hubs had a prb too, which was ofcourse crazy for me. my hubs merely took a 1 month course of meds for his prb. both of us lazy so u can imagine!!!
anyway, for many months becus of this laziness, i stopped takin metformin also!!! metformin is somethin that i shud have continued even if i was not takin clomid. but i didnt take any for more than 3-4 months. lazyyyyyy me. i got my period despite this for 2 months i guess. jun 15 was my last period that i got and after that no sign of aunt flow. 3 months at a strech and i didnt suspect pregnancy cus how can i get preg if i didnt get period, if i didnt ovulate. but Allah always does what it wills at the rite time. june, july, aug, sept passed, i was way too busy in these months and didnt think twice abt preg. i did 1 preg test in between and it was -ve. suddenly in sept i strted urinatin every 30 mins, my nipples hurt for a week, no vomit nothin... my cousin told me to check for preg and i did and in oct, it was positive!!! bear in mind that i conceived without any period (in jul-aug most probably, i m almost in week 13 now). so without period, its Allah's miracle that i conceived. how did i ovulate, beats me.. i m confused but it happened!!
so bottom line, it happened naturally habibti!!! i wasted so mch time on clomid and metformin but Allah made it happen without it. maybe clomid and metformin had left some effects on me due to which i became preg but watever, eventually it happened. and i m thrilled tooooooo death!!!! :) so hav faith in Allah. even my doc suggest lapo but i was so scared to hear how it was done, i never had it done but pls in ur case have it checked.. maybe that will help u in havin a baby soon IA. hope my story helped in lifitin up ur spirits. God bless!!! :)
Re: Anyone else trying to conceive?.. Willing to share your tips, experiences etc?
and listen full stop, its ridiculous of ur ILs to ask for reports.. thats a personal thing and i think ur hubs shud take a stand. even if u guys have prb, its embarassing to show it to them. trust me after 2 yrs of my marriage ppl were askin me too.. some even after 1st yr but that was ok for me. but after 3rd yr it was too mch and ppl strted sayin karlo and all that crap. i had strted tryin then before that i was workin for 2 yrs so that made ppl shut up to an extent but didnt keep them quiet. so honey, i know ive been thru it, its v v hurting and embarassing when ppl ask and dun understand that its our own wish ot planning. its better to say u r plannin than jab Allah ki marzi cus after sum yrs they are like test karwao and stuff... sympathies and all. so b normal. tell ppl u strted tryin now and etc. btw full stop y were u not tryin for 3 yrs? career, not ready or wot? it helps to let ppl know ur plans in initial stages itself so no one doubts u and ur hubs

First off, a big congratulations :)
Secondly, I think you have misunderstood the whole concept about ovulating and having periods. You can get pregnant without having had a period as you only need an ovulation. Usually, normally a period arrives after you ovulate. You dont need a period to ovulate. Just wanted to tell you that.
BEst of luck :)
